Let’s Talk About Mondays

I’m just as guilty as the next person to say “TGIF” on a Friday morning after a long week. I’m also guilty of getting a “case of the Mondays” when I am slow to wake up and come alive on a Monday morning.

But we need to talk about Mondays because Mondays really aren’t so bad.

Sure, Mondays aren’t all that great… I woke up this morning feeling groggy (despite the extra hour thanks to Daylight Savings Time), and partially dreading the beginning of a new work week. However, as I picked up my Five-Minute Journal, the dread turned into excitement.

As someone who is a creature of habit and is quick to make new year’s resolutions each year, I like to think of Mondays like the picture above shows: a fresh start and a new opportunity for setting goals for the week.

Last week, I was very productive in my work in some areas, but other areas need improvement.

This week,  my goals are:

  • To actively listen and learn one new thing each day this week
  • Do my Five-Minute Journal every day
  • Take deep breaths in moments that stress me out: new situations and traffic delays
  • Stay off social media less

How about you? What are your goals this week?
